Phoebe  has been painting since a young child.  She attend art classes throughout her school years, attending several colleges to study art;  Bennington College in Vermont; UC Berkeley; California school of Fine Arts and Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. Her preferred style was abstract impressionism.

After moving to St. Helena many years ago she graduated to painting flowers, gardens and landscaping, things she always liked, painting whatever was blooming at the time.

She has had exhibits at R. Mondavi in Oakville; Domaine Chandon in Yountville; and the Rutherford Grove Winery, to name a few.

Phoebe has also produced a book, after collecting recipes from local families, and illustrated Eating in St. Helena —A Recipe Memoir:  A Generation’s Family Favorites.  The recipes are indicative of the era from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
